Why is everyone running 2-2.5 lifts? Im coming from a JK and 3.5 was the standard basically... Im having trouble seeing any improvement with just 2-2.5 inches

My dealership told me that anything over 3” voids warranties. The service manager said they don’t care who installs it and even if I do it myself as long as I’m 3” and under I would be covered. Why is everyone running 2-2.5 lifts? They are OE painted take offs from another member. Let's just say they weren't cheap! It might have been cheaper to buy paintable LED ones and get them painted, but I wanted factory paint and the rears have the film on them.Looks great. Did you buy them painted, get them painted or do it your self? What was the cost involved?
I dont really think thats true, there's a legal precedent something Moss where they cant void your warranty unless they prove aftermarket parts were a direct result. I would just find another dealer. My dealership told me that anything over 3” voids warranties. So maybe that’s why? Not sure anyone’s else’s reason but that’ll be mine for staying under 3”. I wanted that Flacon TeraFlex ST4 but when I realized it’s a 4” lift I’m looking at their ST2/3 now.
In 5 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) you’ll see everyone in here running 3.5” to 4” lifts LOL
I’m not saying it’s true and I, like you, don’t believe it. But, it seems to be the general consensus from everyone I’ve spoken to, even the guys at the local custom Jeep shops have told me the same thing.I dont really think thats true, there's a legal precedent something Moss where they cant void your warranty unless they prove aftermarket parts were a direct result. idk Im contemplating paying 1/2 of the mopar lift and getting a 3.5 inch lift from rancho.... I just dont know if shops are even doing enough 3.5 inch lifts on the JLs to figure how to do it correctlyI’m not saying it’s true and I, like you, don’t believe it. I’d like to see that in writing somewhere though rather than a myth-like tale haha
I’d do it yourself man. A guy in my neighborhood did it all right there in his garage. The kits come with everything you need minus the tools obviously.. Flacon is the route I’m going.idk Im contemplating paying 1/2 of the mopar lift and getting a 3.5 inch lift from rancho.... It’s not “MY” statement. I’m just relaying what my dealership AND 2 custom Jeeps shops have told me thus far in my area.Fact is the 2" Mopar lift is actually over 3" (it is only 2" on a Rubicon, on a sport is is over 3") so by your statement that would void the warranty.
I just installed the Rancho 3.5" lift this weekend.
In fact I stated a JL Sport and Sahara only Lift thread (no Rubicon)

Wonder if they stepped up their quality, ran Teraflex on my JK and had to replace everything after 2 years due to failure and sag. Ran 1.25” spacers on top of their coils to get it back up to height lolCheck out their YouTube channel:

FALCON ST1
FALCON ST2
FALCON ST3
FALCON ST4
Rubicon express 2.5. I was advised by an old jeeper that Bilstein makes the best shocks for Jeeps by far and the RE are done by the same company. Final lift - ground to fender - front 3.5” rear 2.5”what size lift did you go with a 3.5?
