The Forum Redundancy Regulators will be triggered with this post but here it goes. (I love pushing the envelope.) Is this a common occurrence when having the Tazer JL attached? Does this happen only with the ‘24’s with the larger screens or does it happen with all the JL’s? Is it a bug or is it intentional? Please be gentle with the responses. I’m sensitive.

That is a feature of the Tazer that can be disabled if you don't like it.
Thank you. I’ve must’ve overlooked it then. I know under “Live Settings” there’s an option to trigger the rear camera when using the turn signals. The instructions notes it’s for the smaller screens. I tried it anyway, didn't like it, then I disabled it. I know for certain that option is off. I’ve never seen a “Mute Button Cam” option though. I have to investigate!

The Uconnect 5 with 12.3–Inch Touch Screen Display has a dedicated button up top to display the rear camera so it seems to be a redundant feature. I’m assuming the smaller screens on the earlier JL’s never had a dedicated rear cam button then? IDK. Nevertheless, I didn’t come across that option. At least not under the “Live Settings” on the Tazer.

Double-tapping mute for the camera is a Non-Menu Live Option.

Thank you. What’s the purpose of it? The 8.5 screens do not have a dedicated camera button? Anyway, I wish I can disable it. I use the mute button often and keep the Tazer attached because of the Live settings. Using the volume knob in lieu of a simple button press seems archaic. 1st world problems.

The neither my 21JLURD w/7" or 22JTRD w/8.4" screens have a button for rear camera. You have to go through the touch screen, it's a multi press/step process.
I like it and used it to get a close up look at my moto on the hitch carrier. First time using the carrier so I was a little concerned. Worked great, have a few small ideas to improve it.
This is on my 22JTRD.

Makes sense for this. The people at Tazer should make a patch to accommodate the 12.3 uconnect because I’m always tapping the mute button. When I hear a strange noise or someone is trying to talk to me over the wind noise/music, I’m tapping away. Thanks for your reply.
