Texas BOH

If anyone lives in the areas of the 3 BOH trails in Texas I'll be out there the week of 11/19 running Black Gap, Hidden Falls and Northwest OHV Park and looking for some wheelin buddies to run the trails with me.

If interested let me know and I'll give you the exact dates I'll be in each area.

Northwest OHV is normally open Sat, Sun
Hidden Falls is normally open Fri, Sat, Sun
Big Bend Nat'l park is open all the time

I'd like to get down to Big Bend to pick up Black Gap road but there is also a trail that is supposed to be pretty cool in the park going up Christmas Mountains.
Terlingua Ranch Lodge is the Gateway to the Christmas Mountains Range

Cross Bar tried to eat my Jeep yesterday so I am switching to Mall Crawling...lol...

Personally I think they are pretty ridiculously overpriced. Like way too expensive, but that being said, metal cloak has some really nice quality steel and aluminum fender flares.

It does raise the question though, with steel fender flares, what becomes the breaking point? With the polyurethane fenders it's obvious, the plastic is the weak point. I don't know, I would go for some off-brand shit myself, but I'll probably upgrade to steel fenders at some point in the future whenever I bust up my crappy bushwackers.

I got some nice scrape marks from crossbar, and my Jeep broke down there too, unrelated to off-roading of course. Paradigm just destroyed his fender there. But the place is hella fun!!

I've been to Northwest OHV and Crossbar at this point, Northwest OHV is child's play by comparison, but it does make for a fun place to do some relatively easy off-roading.

I'll have my engine skid installed by that point. So I'll really be able to go ham!!

Cross Bar has 156 miles of trail from fun easy scenic routes to as hard as you want.

I don't always have to go hard. When my wife takes her Jeep, we stay on green trails and still wheel for 8 hours.
