So after having difficulty getting simple questions answered regarding the Teraflex Split Spoke wheel, I thought I'd post this information. I was surprised that emails and a phone call to Teraflex themselves couldn't provide an answer to the most basic questions - how much do these weigh and what is their load capacity. Apparently Teraflex has absolutely zero knowledge about the products they are putting their name on.

Weight on company shipping scale: 30.15 lbs without the valves.
Load capacity: 3640 lbs. Impressive.

I have the original non split Nomads they are great at low PSI. The split spoke was not available at the time but both look great. They are lightweight for what they do.

For comparison the Mopar Bead Lock Capable wheels that came on my 23 JLURXR weigh 38.4 lbs and have a 5.15" back spacing. Mopar was so close with these wheels. If they would of just given them a 4.5" back spacing. As they are they wouldn't have cleared the lower control arms that are going to be installed.

The only reason the TF caught my attention initially is I was looking for wheels with 4.5 or less backspacing. The Nomad Splits have 4.25" of backspacing which is great. I wanted to move away from my Method beadlocks just due to the whole legality/liability issues with running beadlocks on the road. I had spoke with Method over a year ago about bring out more beadgrip options with lower backspacing and they said they were working on doing exactly that. Well, a year plus later still nothing from them.

I on accident ran my Mickie Thompsons @ 8psi one weekend with no problem... ignorance is bliss. The "beads seat knurling" does a great job of holding the tire on the wheel.

old thread im aware! I have a question if you could answer!
The non split nomad wheels tout " • Locking beads seat knurling allows for safely running lower air pressure" and the split spoke does not list that as a feature, was wondering if they just omitted it in the literature? only other difference is 0 offset for the non split, and -12 for the split spoke... thanks
