Looking at the Teraflex Nomad Split spoke wheel. I like the: 4.25" backspacing on these, the bead grip retaining ridges, the available rock rash rings, and the wheel deflator valve.
But I can't find the actual weight or the load capacity of the wheel?

I seem to recall the wheels weighing 38 lbs, but I can't find any specs from the manufacturer that confirm this - same with the load rating. I would imagine the load rating is above 2500 lbs.

Hopefully someone running them can chime in

Teraflex's website doesn't have the weight or load rating either. " 40 inch tire" from Teraflex's specs really doesn't mean much. Odd that Teraflex has chosen to conceal the most basic info on a wheel.

I've got them coming in tomorrow. Will get a weight. Called Teraflex and they thought 31 or 32 lbs. Also they couldn't figure out the load capacity other than " strong enough for 40s" which to me is just stupid. How do you design a wheel that you don't know what load capacity you are designing the wheel for? Teraflex if you see this - you made yourself sound really dumb.

Keep us posted!

The load rating should be stamped somewhere on the backside of the wheel.

Teraflex got bought about a year ago. Who knows what talent and institutional knowledge fled the coup afterwards.

FWIW, I have these and they're fantastic. I'm running 37" Ridge Grapplers on them. One of the heavier 37s out there with one of the heavier rims makes for a lot of rotational mass. The rear camera cylinder is the only reason I can get the spare on the back without pulling a muscle.

But they look great and are obviously quality made. I got them off road on Sunday for the first time. I've never aired down faster. By the time I had walked around the truck opening the valves the first one was done.

Just amazing that no one at Teraflex could look at a wheel to answer the question of load capacity when I emailed them. When I spoke with them on the phone - I got a dumb "strong enough for 40s" answer and they admitted that the did not have a load capacity. It will be interesting to see if there is actually one on the wheel. I just can't believe a company like Teraflex has become this dumb.
