No, the code, jeepinformant2 will not work with the TazerJL Lite. There is a $325 minimum to use the code per the ZAutomotive cart.

You can reach out to see if they offer any sort of a forum discount or military discount but I'm thinking that the TazerJL Lite is already priced so low that there is no room for a discount.

So the Tazer lite only needs the bypass module to work and can still get all the functions of the full tazer JL which needs the OBD2 module. Is that the case? Or with the latest firmware, can we do away with the OBD2 module for either install or for live features to be plugged in?

ah crap, nevermind. I see in the pics of the Lite, that the usb port is on the bypass module now. So, the brains are still in the OBD2 module for the product I just purchased last week. Double crap.

The Tazer JL has both functions as live, automatic features (if enabled). Here’s a video of them in action on my own JLUR. Some have reported that the autoPark disable doesn’t work for them - as soon as I can replicate that I’m sure I’ll release an update (I have a few more tricks coming soon too)

The Tazer JL has successfully disabled ESS and Auto Park for me. The other programmer offering could not do this.

Aside from disabling ESS and Auto Park the Tazer JL has done much much more for me..

Do your homework before purchasing a programmer for the JL.

The forum poll regarding programmer's, indicates the majority of JL owner's favor the Tazer JL, and for good reason.

If you poke around other JL forum's and say at Facebook, you will see that JL owner's there, also echo the pro Tazer JL sentiment.

Sean, ask away or you aren't going to get up to speed lets say on this...

Tazer JL does not read DTC codes. No big deal to most guys..

In regard to "Live Features"... with Live Features, it is a must that you leave the Tazer JL or Tazer JL Lite plugged in all the time, or the Live Features will not lets say, work.

With the features that are not Live features, you can program them with the Tazer JL or Tazer JL Lite, and then remove the Tazer JL or Tazer JL Lite and still have those features working.

Most of the guys with the Tazer JL and Tazer JL Lite just leave the hardware plugged in as they want the much wanted ESS disable and Auto Park disable..

So, to surmise, you install the Tazer JL or Tazer JL hardware, marry the programmer to your JL, program the features you want, and then you need to do no more then drive your JL and enjoy / benefit from the features you selected.

You have some incorrect assumptions....

As stated earlier the Tazer JL and Tazer JL Lite both effectively disable ESS and Auto Park. With the Tazer JL, I have both disabled and am not burdened by ESS or Auto Park. If I had another programmer I would not be able to say this.

Are any of them able to change the threshold at which the lights automatically turn on or off? I have my windshield tinted which obviously effects the sensor and the turn on too soon and stay on too long and sometimes turn on and off in the middle of the day depending on the shading.

Hi @Rhinebeck01 do you still have to plug in the seat belt to get Auto Park disabled? Maybe I am remembering wrong but I thought that is what you claimed. Anyways, you shouldn't have to do that in order to disable Auto Park via the TazerJL

Yes, seat belt still has to be fastened so, the Tazer JL does not disable auto park for me. Joe @ZAutomotive is aware of this and is trying to get auto park disabled working for me and others that cannot get Tazer JL to disable auto park.
