Apparently the FlashCal is popular because they are on backorder. Estimated to have mine in a couple of weeks. I'm going to try it out and see if all the features work or not. Will be neat to make a real world direct comparison of the two.
Did you try Northridge 4x4

I have a Tazer and would like to see a head to head comparison. I would have no problem owning both if its worth it.

My plan is to do a head to head comparison video, and then keep the one I like the best and sell the other one at a discount to a forum member. Different people are interested in different features. Know what I mean?

State Inspections and your programmer .

To my fellow programmer owner's... either Flashcal or TazerJL...

Remember, when you go for your State vehicle inspection, you must remove your programmer and the companion SWG bypass module, IF your state requires the inspection station Inspector to plug his computer into your OBDll port and access your JL's onboard computer's.

New York is one such state. I believe Massachusetts is another.. there are many other states also.

Comparison video is going up tonight. I'm working through some issues with the FlashCal. For some reason the AutoPark disable feature does not work on my Sport S. The TPMS screen seems to hang up. And worst of all, it will not return my Jeep to stock. It keeps throwing error messages and me and the Jeep cannot return to stock. I'll send an update later...

Your TPMS will need to be returned to it's stock configuration before the Flashcal will release it, I know from experience. Even when returned to stock I am getting a "Service TPMS System" at startup. It seems to have corrupted the TPMS computer somehow. FCA is replacing my instrument cluster because of it.

I have only unmarried mine once and didn’t have any issues, so if you set the threshold back to the factory setting (isn’t it 32psi?) before unmarrying the service TPMS goes away?

I don't know, but it's worth a shot. I had my TPMS disabled because my other wheels / tires don't have sensors. It would not let me unmarry until it was set back to enabled.

I will try tomorrow - I didn’t disable I just lowered the threshold - I will try again to reset to factory and unmarry without changing anything - auto park disable worked on my sport s as well, at least rolling back I could open my door and moving forward (only tried to about 10mph) I could open the door as well.

Apology for the user error at 16:20. I had a major brain fart. That was all me.

Good video - yeah the press “OK to Continue” will speed it up some. Should also be hooked up to computer through their installer to make sure the firmware is up to date.

I do want to warn anyone that watches the video that it is a major no, no to start the vehicle engine and then go to the TazerJL set-up menu while the engine is running. Again, per the TazerJL manual, and for very good reason, "The setup menu is accessed with the ignition ON but engine NOT running."

I have a Tazer and love it. I recently took my Jl in for the recall. I have large hands and had some trouble with the bypass plugs. I informed service manager and they plugged everything back in , did the recall flash and then plugged my Tazer back in. I try to have a good relationship with the service manager. That is the only thing that I didnt like about the tazer , but like I said I have very large hands

Not true. How are you going to access live features while you're on the road if the engine isn't running?

@WXman
Suggest you read the TazerJL manual. You can also reach out to ZAutomotive and ask them why it say what I quoted from the manual.

Perhaps they will say the manual is wrong. Let us know.. LOL

By the way, triggering TazerJL live features and when you are programming your JL are two different animals.
