Clearing check engine light caused by Tazer Mini?

Has anyone that has a Tazer mini pop a check engine light? If so what is the way to get rid of it

I’m going to install it tomorrow but I’ve read that some have had that issue. My wrangler is brand new and I’m worried it may cause issues

Make sure you follow the (horrible) instructions to the letter after making your changes.

It can definitely cause issues. Mine is disconnected in my glove box in case I ever need it to reset codes.

Just make sure to buy it from the manufacturer’s website or a trusted 3rd party reseller. I’ve heard of face Tazer’s being sold on Amazon etc.

Z automotive has a series of you tube videos that when combined with their written instructions help quite a bit.

to @Ratbert point you must follow the directions to a t to avoid issues. I’ve had great luck and support with my Tazer

Definitely take your time programming it. Very tedious and annoying.
Very happy with the results and never had any issues or check engine lights due to installation.

Mine did the same thing. The dealer told me it was because it was plugged into the SGW and gave me a one‑time pass. I ended up switching to JSCAN instead.

To do is reset a code a $30 code reader from Amazon can read and reset the light.
