Wendi would it be possible to take it back to the previous firmware? I can’t remember if you can but if working ok then maybe it will again.
I don’t know, and I don’t remember which firmware I was at before. It was a long time between updating for me…if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it lol.

It had been a long time since I did a Firmware update on my Tazer JL Mini. I did the latest one a few days ago, and have the engine light now on and the following codes: U1818 Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module, U0100 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM 'A', U1514-87 Invalid Data Received from Door Module, U0168 Lost Communication with Vehicle Security Control Module. I unmarried, did a Full Reboot and 2 Complete Sleep Cycles. Cleared DTC's. Then ReMarried, did a Full Reboot and 2 Complete Sleep Cycles. The engine light is still on and all the codes above are still there. I contacted Z Automotive and was told to Unmarry and ReMarry...which I did but didn't fix it. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?
What model year is your Jeep, Wendy? On my 2024 JLUR I'm getting the same codes when Tazer installed. Moreover, every now and then Jeep won't start on first try in the morning, and sometimes won't start at all (have to try many times, as the Start button simply acts as dead). I suspect it might be due to the U0100 code.

I contacted the guys at Z Automotive and they told me to do the Recover procedure, which I did, but that not helped. Still errors pop up, and still Jeep won't start on first try in the morning.

I reckon there's an issue in the Tazer software, which interferes with the 2024 models. (I had no such issues with Tazer on my old 2018 JLUR).

I had a similar issue when I went to 11.4.6. I unmarried it, installed the 11.4.5 firmware since the .6 added updates for the 6MT trans, and I have the 8spd auto, so it didn't matter. My Jeeps been in the shop off and on since Thanksgiving, so I have it currently unmarried. Therefore, I don't have a lot of time with it, but when I did, the 11.4.5 firmware was not throwing similar weird CEL codes. Maybe try 11.4.5 if you haven't already and don't need have a manual transmission.

I have 2019 Sahara. This situation is crazy! I definitely think it’s a firmware issue! X Automotive has been working with me to do different things, but so far nothing is working to fix it. I did the 20 min ride that I was advised to do after making some changes, and noticed my Battery went from 14.7 to 12.1 after that 20 drive!!!

Do you know if I have to do the “Recover” to make it forget the 11.4.6?

I just overwrote the newer firmware. As far as I know, it should be like any other firmware update on other devices, going newer or older should not matter. I just downloaded the version I wanted from the ZAuto website and used the manual update process in their desktop app to write it to my tazer.

Do you use the ZAutomotive extension cable, or is the Tazer plugged in directly?

After reading all this, I am in no hurry to update my JLtazer. ‘24 JLR and there has been no issues with the Tazer (or anything else).
I wish I hadn’t done the update!

I have that same issue with the Tazer plugged in ie random days when my 2023 fails to start.
