This is why I use JSCAN. Set it, pull it and forget it. Tazer gremlins are a thing.
I've tossed that idea around, however, I'm totally unfamiliar with the JSCAN and am a bit apprehensive that I might screw up.

Understood when getting used to anything new, but there's actually less to go wrong with JSCAN than Tazer. JSCAN uses a piece of electronics hardware to interface with the Jeep, and is then removed until you need it again. To get the most from Tazer you'll marry it and leave it plugged in to access live functions. Tazer will do a few more things than JSCAN (disable ESS, adjust fan speed, etc.) and if those things are important it might be worth it. But having the vehicle's ability to function rely on a sometimes temperamental or problematic piece of electronics seems risky to me... just my 02. Not intended to impugn Tazer... just recognizing strengths and weaknesses in each tool. JSCAN does all I need done and there's less to go wrong.

At this point, I want to disable the three honk, the brake lockup while door a is open, and a few other items. ESS would be nice to be gone also.

taser can do all that. the only problem ive had with mine is for some reason the horn honk has come back randomly twice. other then that everything else works perfectly. only thing i dont know if they (taser) have updated the firmware to not honk when the fob leaves the vehicle with the doors off. i know they were working on it but havent heard if thats updated or not.

I've had that same thing occur with the horn, as well as other anomalies utilizing the Taser on my 392. It's been removed, temporarily at least. Now, this Gladiator is a completely stripped vehicle, but has some of those same annoying attributes. I may try the JSCAN on the 392 and move the Taser over to the Gladiator. In doing some further research, I've found that an app is available along with a bluetooth device for applying JSCAN functions.

Before you change the Canbuss, try this:
1. Unmarry if you haven't
2. Full Reboot
3. Pull the negative terminal on your battery for a minute
4. 2 sleep cycles
5. Remove the Tazer and plug the security gateway back in.
At that point, check and see if you are still getting those codes. Mine cleared after doing this!
Then you could download the 11.4.5 firmware version…unless you have a manual transmission(as the 11.4.6 version has fixes for manual transmission). Then re-Marry the Tazer and REBOOT, then do 2 Complete Sleep Cycles.
I hope this works for you!
Thanks for posting this, it's been very helpful. I also recently updated the tazer mini and started getting all those warning lights and codes. I will restore back to an older firmware ASAP.

Quick question, after doing all those steps is it recommended to leave the tazer connected in the Jeep or do you prefer to remove it. I've heard batteries draining from the tazer being connected all the time.

PS , I understand the LIVE functions won't work when disconnected, but that's not a big deal for me. I just don't want to drain the battery and need the PCM to function correctly.

Thanks Again !!!

Update, I rolled the Tazer version back to 11.4.5, as recommened by Windi20 AND everyting works perfecty. I am now able to keep the tazer connected in the Jeep with NO warning lights showing in the dash. I have an automatic, so the newer version doesnt work for me. I didnt have any issues for 2years until I uodated to 11.4.6... Dont need it unless you have a manual. Thanks Wendi20

I updated to 11.4.6 because I have the manual. The odd thing is I was getting all the canbus errors and replaced my wheel speed sensors and blew out the canbus and they went away for 500 miles. They came back and I replaced the canbus connector and they seem to have been vanquished. The only issue I have had with the Tazer is ESS will sometimes turn on out of the blue when starting the Jeep, almost like the Tazer didn't send a signal. The light show would start from time to time, but then I determined it was me with the key fob initiating it.

I followed Wendi20's steps to change my Tazer mini firmware version to the 11.4.5 but I get a message on the ZPU App that pops up on the screen that says "Missing Processor Specific" then does a countdown from 5 then goes to "Updating 100%" and just sits there and spins and spins and spins, never getting it up fully complete the update. I've also contatced Tazer Support through text message and they responded back with steps to do a recovery for missing firmware. I followed their instructions and still having the same issues. Has anyone here experienced this or know how to fix it?
