I have the Rugged Ridge Spartacus hinge replacement/tailgate reinforcement going on nearly two years now. I don’t see any rust. It’s made of an aluminum casting. What product were you referring to? Was it the pins or other hardware that is rusting?
It’s the Spartacus….all the hardware is rusting….I’m in Texas so it’s not the snow…lol

Great to hear you do not have any issues. I will definitely be sure to lengthen the bump stocks. However, the tires I purchased are 285/75 not 70. They are pretty much a 34in tire and weigh 60lbs (E load). That extra 8lbs pushed me over the limit just slightly.
Yeah I noticed that I had misread the size and I removed that part. Thank you!

Running 100lbs of rubber and wheel with the Quadratec Spare Relocation Bracket. No issues so far. Can't speak for down the road, but I think you'd see it coming if there were an issue. It should give you enough time to do a correction if needed - just my opinion. I'm gonna keep rocking it till it pops or it warms up here in the NE.

I had the rough country reinforcement bracket with 33s and it was fine. After going to 35s I noticed the tailgate itself was twisting- the top corner where the latch is was pulling away from the fender. Replaced with a secondhand barricade HD carrier and it has been solid through several wheeling trips. Some internal rust but not enough to worry about short term.

was on my upgrade list as i moved to 35s on beadlocks.
i may not be on the trail as much as i'd like, but when i am, i'm not worried about my 110 lb tire/wheel twisting up my tailgate.
(i did make sure that i set up a new set of bumpers/spacers to fit the new bracket and tire setup to keep things from bouncing around.)

I'm running 106lbs on mine. It's solid with added bumpstops. I will be getting a CavFab one soon though. Just waiting on next sale. I am not comfortable offroading with it back there on tailgate even though it's solid as a rock right now.
What kinda sale you looking for?

Email me, let me see what I can help with ;)
