Tailgate rattle fixed

The plastic "Jeep" trim panel inside the tailgate was rattling constantly at low-med rpms. Pried it off easily with a spatula and placed some sticky foam spacers at key points. (You can get them probably at Michael's, y'know, when you're there for your scrapbooking supplies.)
Took at test ride and the noise is gone.

I fixed mine with some clear Teflon tape along the top edge of the tailgate due to flip-up hatch constantly vibrate/rubbing against the tailgate.

Thanks for posting this! I have had a sound in the back that I couldn’t figure out. Flipped up my hatch and it was gone. Now I just need to get some tape!

Mine came from the factory with foam tape for that already installed. Mine is a '23

Man this has been driving me bat shit crazy for weeks. I flipped up the hatch today after seeing this and it was…gone. I would NEVER thought about checking this so you have given me some sanity back. Thank you!!!

After seeing this post i went and checked my tailgate (rattle has been driving me nuts).
The foam strips on my ‘18 JL had worn down to paper thin.
I removed them and stuck on some epdm weather stripping and bam, problem solved.
60 seconds of work.
