This may not help with your issue since you're out of the factory warranty, but I had the exact same issue with mine within a month of delivery. The condensation in the fixture caused the wiring to slightly corrode, which in turn caused a very minor parasitic electrical draw, draining my battery.
I took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire assembly under warranty. They labeled it "an electrical issue".
Good luck with it.

Completely different warranty policy at play here. The limited 3yr/36k covers just about everything for nearly any reason. Extended warranties don’t. They keep the high dollar critical items protected.

Max care says “electrical/extended electric”. Wonder what that actually means

That's what I was kinda getting at - you may not be covered for the lens, but may be for the "electrical issue". It's worth a spin...
Unfortunately that’s not how it works. Warranties are explicit.

I have a 22 Jeep Wrangler. I keep getting water inside the Left Taillight Assembly. Predominantly the backup light, sometimes a little into the brake light. I have dried it out thoroughly with heat gun on low setting after disassembly. I made sure to lubricate the lightbulb seals with silicone grease. I noted this is only the Left side that has nothing to protect from water being kicked-up from Left Rear Tire around Fuel Fill Tube. There was enough water to get the lightbulbs to get a white cloudy condensation on them that would eventually get into the connections and burn-out the bulbs. I use silicone grease on bulb connections too. (Make sure to clean glass of all grease when done.)

* This is second time I had to dry the Left taillight lenses assembly out. Anyone else see this? :headbang:

MOPAR Maximum Care isn't some generic "warranty" that isn't a real warranty though. it's literally supposed to be the same as the factory warranty but you payed money to make it last longer than 3/36.

It is a factory warranty. I know because I have one as well. Although the Added Care Plus covers everything I worry about most.

I talked with a Friend, with similar Jeep, and NO PROBLEM because he has AFTER MARKET LED Taillight Assemblies that are SEALED.

Right side does NOT have the problem because not exposed like the Left.

I had this happen on my 2019, of course out of warranty when I decided to have it looked at. Condensation became water, water dried up during hot days. I took it out, tried sealing everywhere water could possibly get in, reinstalled, it continued to happen. Over time it just got worse to the point the light started working intermittently and I'd get a warning on the dash that the light/turn signal wasn't functioning. I ended up buying a new one (couldn't find a used one online anywhere, now they're everywhere) and haven't had an issue since.

So for you it was just a bad taillight housing assembly?

I had replaced both taillight assemblies after someone thought it was "cute" to break both and the license plate LED light assembly during a dinner date with wife, (parked next to front door at Restaurant).... Found this site and had help with getting replacements.

Only thing I have found is how the Left is exposed to water kicked up off the tire around the gas tank fill neck. I used a heat gun to totally make sure light assembly, was dried out last time, and silicone grease on the lightbulb seals. After just a light rain water again in the Left taillight and getting worse quickly as we get some heavy rain here on Gulf Coast.

I only thought is the was the assembly itself because the rear portion of the light was always dry after I’d wash it, but yet still had water in the lense. In fact, there’s a bit of separation in the LED housing where the water was only contained in the outer portion

Yah, last time I removed the L taillight assembly to dry it out, it had a LOT of water in it too.

Other than the Left side being exposed to water kicked up off the tire around the gas tank fill neck, I don't see how just change in weather for condensation or where there is a leak in the housing somewhere? Mind you I live on the Gulf Coast and we normally have heavy rain. But this is the first year I have noticed a problem like this on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport JL. :headbang:

Like I had explained, a Friend with similar Jeep has LED taillight assemblies and no problem. It is also a four door model vice two like mine.
