I know several of you have had the OEM LED tail light fail so hoping to get some insight. I have the LED package and having the condensation issue with my driver's side (left) tail light. The running lights still work as does the blind spot sensor but the brake and turn signal is weak and funky-flash.
Can I replace the fixture (68474045AD replaced by 68725785AA I think?) with the non-blind-spot one (68434890AE I think?) and swap my wiring harness and blind spot monitor over? Hopefully save the $120-$200 and a little electronic/plastic waste. Maybe @AllMoparParts.com Benny might have some insight?
Backstory: My driver's side (left) tail light has had the condensation issues inside for a while with intermittent EVIC warning light but usually clears within a few minutes. With some wet/snowy days lately it finally gave up for good 2 weeks ago. Enough moisture inside to pool on the bottom. I drilled a small hole in the corner to drain and used a heat gun plus shop-vac to dry it out. That fix lasted 2 days until another snowy commute. I've dried it out again but the brake and turn signal won't come back. I did build a little plastic guard to protect the back of the assembly but I'm sure it's a wet misty mess in that cavity with moisture on the road. I swapped with passenger side to confirm it is a bad driver's side fixture.
Same issue that happened to @El-Jefes-Red-Rubi and a few other threads I've seen on here but can't seem to find right now.
