Tail light OEM replacement

hi all,
My tail light was damaged on the trail and am looking for an OEM replacement. My JL has the blind spot sensor but the module inside the tail light is intact.
I'm wondering if it's feasible to buy a tail light w/o BSM (cheaper) and install the module?
