Won't pressing and holding the TCS button for 5 sec disable ESC? Wouldn't that be easier than pulling a fuse? Also, one article I read says the Off Road + button "modifies" ESC implying it doesn't fully disable it. Does anyone know the complete Off Road + impact to ESC?

My takeaway from above is when snowing with no pavement, we want to be in 4Hi with Off Road + enabled and ESC disabled (by pressing TCS for 5 sec). Anyone see an advantage to leaving ESC on then? I'd rather not have to limp home just because ESC is short of data from the wheels...but there may be some advantages to ESC being on.

I kinda answered my own question...
I know, I know, RTFM...
In 4H, with Odd Road+ ON, ESC is already off...pressing TCS/ESC button off for 5 sec will also disable traction control.
So if truly off road (no pavement) and snow wheeling, 4H and Off Road + ON; hopefully that will avoid the error message and limp mode.
If pavement on main roads I'll use 4H Auto on my TCase (no Off Road+ option in 4H Auto) which will leave ESC on. I can always try the 5 sec press to turn of ESC if I get the error message.

Yeah, but are they in 4lo or 4hi? Traction control on or off? What PSI are they running in their tires? Are they running topless to keep the windshield from cracking?
Ha...I did make sure they seated all the fuses properly but we do need @Jeep_Junkie to give his comments on the best oil.

Unless something has changed with the newer MYs, you cannot disable ESC in 2H. So if you want to disable ESC in 2H, you will need to pull the fuse unless you have a Tazer.

Reading back through this thread, I should’ve picked up on the wages in this post….

Finally going to get the JT out in the snow Saturday. We've got nearly 50" up near the rubicon in the last 3 days. Been a few years since I've had a good snow wheeling trip since we spend most of our free time in the desert since buying our property 2 years ago.

I've 10 posts in this thread, preceding this one, and Flip Liked eight of them. :)

He was one of the friendliest members with whom I've interacted here, and I'm glad to see I'm not alone in such thinking.

May Johnny requiescat in pace.

Relax bro. I just wanna go live a little ok. 2 things you can rest assure; when I go out I know of a few places I guarantee I'll be the only person on the back road. 2nd, I'll die before I call a first responder. I won't even take my cell phone.
If you don't ever hear from ol flip again it was nice knowing you.

I get a kick out of a 90 year-old posting memes and being obsessed with Fury Road.

And, that the dancing snow guy meme from this thread scrolled across the top of the forum for a few weeks right before Flip left us, is:
