The lease on my Wrangler is coming due over the next few months and I’m having a hard time deciding on what to do. I love the Jeep and so does my family, it also only has 24k miles on it, so I’ve been leaning toward buying it out (even with the hinge corrosion issues). I’ve also gone back and forth on leasing another but even with under invoice pricing, the payment difference between leasing new and financing what I have are very close. A new lease would have options I couldn’t get three years ago ( proximity entry, 8.4 radio, advanced safety ). I’d like to get out of the leasing game but not sure it makes sense. Thoughts?
If it was a 3 year lease, the Jeep is probably worth a lot more money than the agreed purchase price when you leased it. If you don't want to keep it long term, buy it out and see it. Then use the profit to lease or purchase another Jeep. You should make out well...
