It makes sense to put it on your Jeep if you've been there with it, but it's not wrong if you put it on there because it means something to you.

My vote is that your Jeep needs to have been there.

I have two Jeep badge of honor badges, one for Poison Spider one and Fin's and Things from when I rented a Jeep his year for EJS (I got my JL after I set up the trip and paid for plane tickets / rental). They're sitting on the table until I get to Moab in my JL and do those trails. Doesn't feel right to throw em on now.

Those of you who wear sports jerseys, and advocate for the Jeep, hope you are on the team.

Whats wrong with a sticker that represents you, your ideas and your personality? Your jeep will do fine on its own.

There is nothing wrong with slapping stickers on your Ride ....it's your Ride ..But location badging is a little misleading ..and could strike up all kinds of attention good and bad ....But I have 30 plus tattoos that mean something special to Me ...so for what ever your reason Rock it .. but just be aware some might think your hiding your Mall crawler status .....

I think I get Brian's message here, and if I do I like it.

My take is that if you wear your favorite sports team's jersey and aren't one of it's players, it's perfectly cool with me....

unless you sit in judgment of the badges people put on their Wranglers that aren't otherwise messages of hate/bigotry, even if they've never participated in the event associated with the badge.

I say this because like the jersey, people can support events/things by participating, or simply identifying with the cause in their minds.

To me the Wrangler is freedom within the scope of law. It's predecessor was key in winning that freedom in WW 2 and "the wave" exists in part, to my way of thinking, because Wrangler owners identify with other free-spirited Wrangler operators irrespective of how, if at all, they've "modded" their rig within the scope of safety and vehicle traffic law.

Do you have pictures in your home of cool vacations you took with ex-girlfriends? Even though they may be fond memories and cool photos, I'm guessing you don't display those with your current girlfriend.

Similar to your Jeep. My vote is that the stickers show where it's been.
I agree with this.

However stickers are really a weird personal preference and such a wide range of acceptance. Some cars I think they look ok, some no way. I also think that it needs to be done in a very small fashion. For me personally many go WAY OVERBOARD with the stickers. Eventually it just makes things look cheap IMO.

Another example that is similar to the sports jersey, I grew up in Boston and the Red Sox just won the World Series. I’m going to put a sticker on my jeep even though neither myself nor my Jeep went to a World Series game.

Another thought on stickers - at some point you are going to sell your Jeep to get another. Taking off stickers on the body after a number of years can do strange things to paint including scratches from trying to remove stubborn ones. Any sticker I put on my Jeep will be on the window where it can come off easy.

Guess it depends on if you think of your Jeep as just a "rolling billboard" or "Facebook page" to advertise yourself.

Do you wear a t-shirt or jacket plastered with dozens of patches from all the places you "like"? What about dozen of patches depicting all the products you like? Milk? Iced tea?

If the purpose of stickers on your Jeep is just to tell others about the things you like, what does it matter if you personally have never been there?

Of course, your vehicle, your choice -- it's a Big Tent. But since you asked opinions -- to me personally, displaying a small number of stickers shows things the owner really cares greatly about (or notable places the Jeep has been), while "a bunch of stickers" indicates to me the owner is a sticker junkie.

Are stickers on a Jeep like pieces of 'flair' on your uniform? ;)
