So looking to upgrade my '18 JLU with the Upgraded Alpine system in order to get higher quality sound as well as some more volume. After some research came up with a plan and am hoping some of you audio guys can weigh in with any advise on what I am thinking.

I will preference with I am a top off kind of guy most of the spring, summer and fall and while I am usually pretty prepared and manage to stay dry I am looking that other then the dash I keep most of the stuff marine based just in case. Also not looking to really take up any cargo room and be somewhat "stealth"

Please let me know any thoughts. I have a-lot of automotive wiring experience, but not much on the audio side.

PHASE 1 -

Replace the Dash Speakers with MB-Quart JC1-108 3.5" 2 Way

PHASE 2 -

PAC AUDIO (AP4-CH 41 R2) w/toslink
TWKD8 Processor w/DRC-205 -mounted behind glovebox
JL Audio M-600/6 - mounted under passenger seat
Audio Frog GB10 - 1" tweeter in custom A Pillar's
Audio Frog GB25 - 2.5" Mid in custom A Pillar's
Audio Frog GB60 - 6" Mid in Metra JP-1014 Knee Panel Bracket
LR475 Resisters on Factory knee panel speaker wires

PHASE 3 -

JL Audio MX-500/1 - mounted under passenger seat
2 - JL Audio M6-81B 8" open air Sub - mounted on custom vented boxes on top of dibolical slipstream sides

PHASE 4 -

As needed - upgrade soundbar speakers W/ JL Audio Mvi Amp under Drivers seat

Thanks in advance for any thoughts - good bad or indifferent.

Take anything you know about car audio and throw it out the window. The integrated audio system in the JL isn't something you can just add on to.

If you want to replace that much stuff, start with a good aftermarket head unit like the Alpine Restyle and build from that. Then you can put in whatever aftermarket speakers you want.

I started with only the base system. Upgraded the dash with 350C2 JL's and the soundbar with the same speaker in 6.5". Found a slightly used stealthbox for the passenger side. Added a 5 x 100 to power each of those and made a massive difference.
