I don’t believe they are the same quality and from what I’ve heard the new ones are made overseas.
I know this thread is about a subwoofer upgrade, but I want to jump in to clarify a point quickly. The speakers sold under the TA name, and the speakers we sell today came from the same team. We designed them. We built them. We shipped them. The quality and source did not change.

TA closed at the end of 2024. We did not take over the company, and there is no affiliation. We chose to offer the speakers directly to consumers in January 2025 because people kept asking for them, and we already produced them. We made several design updates early this year, and more are planned for 2026.

TA speakers were never entirely US-made, no matter what might have been posted online. The components have always come from overseas, which is standard in the category. Full domestic end-to-end production would push the price far beyond what anyone would want to pay for a speaker upgrade. All final assembly and QC take place at our facility in Huntley, IL.

We stand behind our product. You get a four-year warranty. You also get a 60-day risk-free audition. Install the speakers and listen to them in your own Jeep. If you do not love them for any reason, send them back for a full refund.

Sorry for the sidebar. I wanted to add clear information since our name came up a few times. Feel free to drop a line to [email protected] anytime if you have any additional questions. We're always happy to help. Have a great rest of your weekend, everyone!

None... but it pays well.
It think the factory bass speaker is just fine. Like stated earlier it barely is considered a sub. If you want a real sub mount a box and add a proper sub.

The Alpine setup is great on its own. This is a Jeep not a Ford Expedition.

Like my cousin's

Geez. That level of ridiculous bass would set off the ammo in my EDC and spare mags!

Yep! My cousin always has been an over achiever since age of 6. He thrives on being top dog so to speak. Long before the Explorer, he had a street legal Toyota that kept on getting taller and taller... until California laws caught up to him and to run on 44s looked way too small for the 6 foot lift. His cab height was an inch taller than a semi truck with his 44s on. The boy just don't know when to stop. Ha!

Doesn't look like it would be healthy.

That is true if it were continuous for an hour, but it is in short duration. The worse part is glass shatter. I think the first windshield breakage had fragments pop free in the cab.

I have the full MB upgrade incl the sub. I’m pretty happy with it although I have to admit that below volume level 12 everything is flat, around 15 I can hear the sub, at 20 it sounds great. I have the sub dial cranked up too.

Overall I’m happy with it, just wondering if the bass/sub should be more prominent at lower volumes.
