Steering wheel radio controls Not responding

When I plug my Andriod phone into to the media ports, half the time the track forward and back buttons on the steering wheels don't work. The volume works fine but not the track select button on the right. The other half of the time it works just fine. I have to add I am a bit disappointed in the Uconnect system as a whole. I have a 2022 Willy's JLU with the standard entertainment package. Anyone have any tips for me?

I have a similar experience with the behind the steering wheel controls. I'll notice if I blast the heat, it may get too hot and stop working for a bit, then works later on. Sometimes it just doesn't want to work with apple carply/android auto.

Usually resetting the Jeep (turning it off then back on after a couple of seconds) has worked for me. Hope this helps!

SO I found a way to fix this...kind of. If your controls don't respond then use the round button in the middle of the selector on the right side. It will cycle you through AM, FM and back to your device. Then the left track controls work for me every time.

Just had this issue (after having issues with carplay not working - thankfully I figured it out), and the suggestion about the controls on the back right side of the controls fixed it!

Having issue with left side controls only. Can’t skip. Clicking round button not helping either

This "fixed" my issue as well! Thank you so *very* much. I was having a mess of canbus issues, but finally got them sorted, and this was my one remaining outlier.
