@PNW_JL who was your advisor and what's your story? I've not been so lucky and after many visits to AutoNation and still have a wobbly 2" deadspot in my steering.

grab a beverage, sit back & enjoy the story:

bought my '20 rubi 12/12/20; part of the deal was to have heated seats installed

1/5/21, I take it in for seat install & at that time mention that the steering is loose & has a dead spot. dealership confirmed issue & said that they would order the parts as soon as "my turn came" as they were only able to order a certain small number of parts at a time.

hearing nothing for the next month, I contacted @JeepCares and asked if they could assist in getting things sped up. after about a week of back-and-forth for information, my case was escalated.

2/15, I was contacted by a "senior specialist" with Stellantis, telling me that he was now working on things

2/17, Stellantis contacts me, telling me there is no ETA for the parts that were ordered, but be patient

2/19, "parts are in, dealership will be calling to set up an appointment"

2/23, "just following up as to when your appointment is", "dealership hasn't called", "go ahead and call to set up an appointment". call dealer, oh, you already have an appointment on 3/23,

3/22 leave work early to drop off jeep & get a loaner....no appointment can be found in their computer & no one around seems to know anything about it; finally, service tech calls the shop foreman and finds out that my so-called appointment was simply a "fake, place-holder" appointment so that they could make sure the parts were there???? I then get told that when Stellantis ordered the steering box, they neglected to order the 4 new bolts and that they were only allowed to order 14 bolts every 2 weeks. bolts would be ordered on 3/25, 4 would be allocated to my install & the'd let me know when they were in so I could get an appointment.

3/26, I get a call that the bolts had arrived, but, "the parts manager is refusing to release them to your install because there's 35 people on the list to have them installed & he's not going to let anyone have them ahead of those who've already been waiting". I spent several hours burning up the phone lines, including calling the "controller" of the dealership and leaving several rather pointed messages regarding the parts manager being terminated for refusing to release MY parts for MY install. After talking to a lot of people, I was able to get my appointment set for yesterday, 3/29. AFTER setting my appointment, I got a call from the owner of the dealership: went through everything above and told the owner that I now had an appointment. we talked about steering issues & she offered 4 free oil changes as an apology for all the hassles I"d had, but I politely refuse, stating I'd be doi9ng all my own maintenance. I did, however, mention that I'd already purchased the longer LCA's as an added insurance policy & asked if they'd be willing to install them..."absolutely, that will be no problem at all".

3/29, enroute to dealer for appointment, I get a call from the owner requesting that when I get there to get them on the phone & then let them speak to the service advisor. upon arrival, the service tech I'd dealt with the previous monday wasn't in yet, so I called the owner & gave my phone to one of the other service techs. just as he was ending the call, the initial tech arrived & I told him about <name redacted> statement that my lca's could be installed as well. tech wanted to know who <name> was and when I told him it was the owner of the dealership, he told me, "oh, that's good to know, but we had a bunch of people not show up to work & we're not going to be able to get you in today".
as I was getting ready to call the owner, the other tech said that he had room & could get the TSB and LCA install done. left dealership about 745 to get rental. Get a call at about 1400 that it's done. drop off rental, get ride to dealership. paperwork done, states computer was flashed, new box installed, lca's installed..head home. it was getting into rush hour traffic, but I chose some of the less travelled roads to check out the steering..WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Tight, no wandering, no dead spot....FINALLY, I can put this behind me & gt on with the lift install
