I have a little two seater that is great for hugging the curves in turns and is aerodynamic 😅 compared to the box on wheels i just purchased.
Its also completely in form to palm my wheel in turns, in fact not doing so would mean a revoke of my old man two seater license.
But with the Jeep I'm back to my hand over hand almost push pull method of my previous career with my turns on the wheel.
I wonder if its cause I'm babying it a bit or are you guys/girls steering in turns different than a regular ride?

Left hand finds home at about 10:30-11 o'clock, and I palm it for all maneuvers with thumb and fingers always outside of the wheel. With power steering and only about 5 turns lock to lock, there's really no need for the 2 handed method unless one is racing and fighting the wheel near the limits of traction.

Making tight turns I use a single finger turning method that I developed while driving old vehicles with real power steering. It's a little bit like how you dial a rotary phone. It's a bit more difficult on the Wrangler but I continue to use that method.

I generally drive with one hand on the wheel. Most turns I can handle one handed with palming. U-turns I do hand-over-hand.

By “regular” do you mean IFS?

My 2dr Wrangler steers like the solid axle cinderblock that it is, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😂

On the road I steer one-handed 99% of the time - my left hand at about 1 o’clock. Dang leather on the steering wheel is getting worn in that spot, now.
