Steering issues

Help. When our JK 2018 Rubicon is driven in the cold the first time each day we cannot turn the wheel to the left without fighting the steering wheel and sometimes it’s stuck. The dealership told us the issue could not be diagnosed without a new battery. Our battery was quote unquote swollen. Battery replaced then the dealership will not address the problem. Anyone have a similar issue?

My 2018 had the exact same issue with the steering except mine would stick when turning right when driving over 50mph and under 50 degrees outside. It was totaled before I found a fix so sorry that I don't have a solution for you but know that you are not alone. The TSB above sounds just like it and is worth a try.

Are you even mildly capable with a decent set of tools?

Take off the steering stabilizer, cycle it through by hand.
