I have a 12K # Stealth winch on my 2018 Wrangler. Nylon rope. As soon as I connect the remote control wire, the winch starts to wind in. I have traced this to the remote itself. I borrowed a new remote from a friend, hooked it up via wire, and it works fine. So that points to the remote. With either remote, the winch does not work wirelessly. The power button on the left side of the winch doesn't do anything. Is that a problem with the solenoid module perhaps?

I would guess that a 12K# wench would easily break silk ropes..............maybe heavy leather strapping and handcuffs would do the trick.........

I don't know. Chains and cable would probably be ideal for a 12K# wench......I hope there isn't a charge per pound.....it would make my 392 gas bill look like pocket lint.....

Not that there is anything wrong with a big one. To each their own. I prefer a smaller one. Less line around the middle. I like to keep close to the snatch when its time to pull the Gladiator. Less chance of premature line snapulation.

....I believe there is a remedy now to premature snapulation. I have found that the less I exercise it on my own, it happens less often.....
