Are the standard axles on a 2024 2 door Wrangler (3.6L/6-Speed) strong enough for 35 inch tires with a 2.5 inch Metalcloak lift (assuming only very light off-road use)?

Yes but you'll want to regear. The question then becomes, are they worth putting thousands of dollars in to? There is say no. For the cost of a regear you can find rubicon take off axles if you're patient enough. Then you get the stronger axles, gears appropriate for 35s, and lockers. Even if they cost you twice the price of a regear they are worth the money in my opinion.

If you re-gear, I would recommend 4.88 or at least 4.56. I re-geared to 4.11 with 33" tires and I wish I had gotten 4.56.

Depends on your driving style. If you're careful and drive with a light throttle foot on easier terrain you should be fine.

If you send it, you'll have a failure sooner or later.

Thanks for your insight.

"strong enough" is a trick question. I have seen people break D44s with 31" tires and others that have been ok with 37s on a D35. You play, you pay.
