Anyone else have issues with spiders getting in Jeep? Today I had a massive wolf spider crawling up the door while driving. First time saw one of Those but constantly have webs around Jeep. No issues with other vehicles parked in the same area....any ideas on keeping them out. This guy doesn’t do spiders

Are you parking under or near trees or bushes?

I wheeled mine in the woods last weekend. Parked it for a week and the passenger side knuckle was completely wrapped in a web. Weird.

Most of my newer Jeeps have had spiders! Little ones and webs all over the dash and windshield, inside and outside.

Parked inside garage or outside, window up tight or not, webs, mostly single strands!!! Only see them once in awhile, kill those but still webs? Spray to no avail? Even Cherokee Trailhawk with windows up tight spiders??? "It's a Jeep Thing"!!

At summer house for some months now still spiders, even tried windows up 90 degree weather hoping to kill, still got em?? Hate windows up in hot, hot weather, spiders better?

Go Jeep!!!

Aww that snake looks like he was just trying to say hi. Hope it was released without issue.
It was. He came out of the dash, friends came to a stop, and ejected. Friend wasn’t sure what kind of snake it was, it went back into the dash fast. Had to run the defroster for 10 minutes or so before it came back out. Just a rat snake.

Spiders? Pfftt. We were riding in Hot Springs once, and friend had a snake crawl out from his dash.

I don’t care for either.

I purely hate snakes. Especially rattlesnakes.

Actually only rattlesnakes. I’ll leave grass snakes and bull snakes be, unless they come in my garage, which they occasionally do.

Can’t have that. I can usually chase them out, though. They mean no harm to me or mine.

I used to leave rattlers be, but one bit my dog in the throat a few years ago. That’s Sally, up top.

She pulled through, but now every rattlesnake I see dies.

I’ll kill a copperhead too, as they are aggressive.

Cottonmouths scare me half to death. I haven’t had one come in my kayak when I’m fishing, but others have. I just run from them when I see one.

I’ll actually go out of my way to avoid killing a spider, though. I try to get them to climb on a piece of paper, so I can put them outside.

If they don’t cooperate, I reluctantly kill them. I have rules.

Spiders eat bugs, though, so I’m all for ‘em, mostly. Unless they get on me.

Can’t have that. A spider needs to know his place, and it ain’t on me.

That is all.

I send most animals I see around my house packing but if I ever see a rattlesnake and it doesn’t leave ASAP, it’s going to the clearing at the end of the path.

I understand that, but I don't agree with it. Snakes do a great job of controlling pests. A buzzworm in the yard, yeah it's going to die because it's just too dangerous to leave it and pretty dangerous to try to trap and transport. But out in the fields I leave them be to eat all the mice and such they can find. I don't have to worry about other venomous snakes but I suppose I'd feel the same about them.

Well said.

Tell me how you feel when one bites your dog in the throat, though.

I don’t entertain grudges much. People, critters, every day is a new day, I say.

Hell, I can be an asshole with the best of them, and appreciate the forgiveness of others.

Fact is, I love and am in awe of how God made His creatures to generally interact for the good of all.

But I am capable of holding a grudge, and I have with rattlesnakes.

I’m not aware that she has met one since. She’s a smart girl, though. I like to think she learned her lesson.

Well said.

While I respect your position, I too disagree with it. I have a long and intimate history with venomous creatures- spiders, scorpions and pitvipers. As you can imagine if my dog or even child got bit I would still feel differently than you. If my loved one was surfing and got killed by a shark or was hiking and was killed by a cougar I just can't see myself 'hating' that specific kind of animal. Of course you love your dog as I do mine but also I recognize that in nature some creatures are equipped with potentially lethal traits and as a species don't deserve to be killed simply because they possess those traits.
We are the only species on earth that harbors grudges.

I am sorry to hear about your dog and very happy he pulled through.
