My old JK used to get mouse and squirrel nests under the hood on a regular basis if I left it outside fir more than 24 hours. A real PITA.
Wolf spiders I get in the garage a lot. Big buggers. If I found one in the Jeep while driving I hate to think what the consequences might be.
Interesting fact about Wolf spiders: they don’t weave webs. They hunt like......wolves.

While I respect your position, I too disagree with it. I have a long and intimate history with venomous creatures- spiders, scorpions and pitvipers. As you can imagine if my dog or even child got bit I would still feel differently than you. If my loved one was surfing and got killed by a shark or was hiking and was killed by a cougar I just can't see myself 'hating' that specific kind of animal. Of course you love your dog as I do mine but also I recognize that in nature some creatures are equipped with potentially lethal traits and as a species don't deserve to be killed simply because they possess those traits.
We are the only species on earth that harbors grudges.

I am sorry to hear about your dog and very happy he pulled through.

We are the only species on earth that harbors grudges?

Are you serious?

All kinds of species actively hate each other, and seek to wipe each other out.

That’s just silly Bambi talk.

Uh yep. Serious.

I am an avid outdoorsman (is that one word or two?) who hunts and a naturalist. No Bambi sentiment over here.

This is one of the things I like about living in New England - the spiders are small and short-lived.

One of the things that's concerned me about taking the doors off my jeep and leaving them off overnight is that I park it outside on my driveway. There have been an abnormal amount of spiderwebs around my house, in my bushes, trees, etc lately. Not so many that it's alarming, but more than I've ever noticed. All I can think about is going out to the jeep one morning and it being full of spiderwebs.

That would not be cool! Cause I do not like spiders! Haha.

I leave the webs and shit alone around my house because I get that spiders have their place and do their thing. I'm not on the warpath against them, I just don't like to be around them. With that being said, I did see someone mention a simple solution of spraying around the house with some bug killing spray, which would ease my mind should I want to take and leave the doors off.

Spiders? Pfftt. We were riding in Hot Springs once, and friend had a snake crawl out from his dash.

If u like the smell of cedar put some fresh cut in ur jeep. Bugs hate it.

I even keep some in my suitcase when I travel to prevent bringing home bedbugs

I end up with spiderwebs every once in a while after parking in the driveway, top on and all closed. They don’t really bother me but I never did notice them in my previous cars. They must like the JL.

Yep...same problem here. I typically don't like to kill spiders but I kept dealing with webs across the inside of my windshield every morning. I finally found it and got rid of it but 2 days later, more webs. Apparently there is more than one.

Most everything in this thread, (except for the dog) = exceptional reasons to burn a wrangler to the ground. F%ck spiders and snakes

No spiders but I did struggle to finally catch a giant Roach that decided to set up shop inside of mine.

Anyone else have issues with spiders getting in Jeep? Today I had a massive wolf spider crawling up the door while driving. First time saw one of Those but constantly have webs around Jeep. No issues with other vehicles parked in the same area....any ideas on keeping them out. This guy doesn’t do spiders
NOPE but it looks to me like you are no Mall Crawler and so real spiders may be sign of a real Jeeper . I would be only worried about those big spiders that wear underwear . What are they called, wait a minute. Oh yes, Black Widows ... that's right.

I’m not aware that she has met one since. She’s a smart girl, though. I like to think she learned her lesson.
I have an Australian Shepherd, she comes fishing with me and loves being in the rivers. A week ago she slipped while crossing some fast water and went for quite a ride. She made it through none the worse for wear but I see that she is very aware of her footing now. Some dogs are just plain smart. I would be surprised if it happened again.
Talk about off topic. Carry on.
