I currently can't find the article, but a professional; car tester said the performance between the e-torque and standard engine is identical. Butt dyno's aside, does anyone have real numbers based on same day testing? The purpose of BSG is to increase gas mileage, and maybe nothing else.
My 2012 Ram 1500 with Hemi, LSD, K02's (buy 'em at Costco) and a mild lift is also the best snow vehicle I've owned. I can make through 10" of snow.
An LSD is not much of an advantage in light and medium snow. But deep snow or loose gravel can fool traction control systems into just cutting...
My apologies. I didn't specify that I was talking about usable engine life, not a rebuild after 5k miles. But, my experiences are over a decade old. Maybe things have changed.
Sorry but I don't buy it. Tuning a supercharged 6.2L or 6.4L to over 1000 HP such as Lingenfelter does is possible. A 3 Liter inline-6 would just blow up unless every piece was changed out. Even the basic chassis can handle only so much torque before twisting out of shape. I won't even start...
1000 HP? The connecting rods would bend. If I were to boost my BMW inline-6 by more than 85 HP, I would have to start replacing drive line parts to handle the additional torque. And also, who are racing?
I've added an additional section so now it shows discounts with and without the destination fee. Once you download the xlsx file, you must enable editing and disable protection for the check boxes to work.
If you are talking about the FWP discount, that is based on the total vehicle price before the destination fee is added. Destination fees are not discounted. If I am wrong about this, please let me know. Maybe you got lucky.
No, both an open and anti-slip differential allows the attached wheels to turn at different speeds so the wheels don't slip on dry pavement. That's why it's called a differential.
Same here. I'd like to add that I put it in 4wd for deep snow even before I slip. My philosophy is to use as little as I need, in terms of locking everything up, to give myself as much margin as possible to keep from getting stuck. And that includes recognizing when 4wd hi or lo is the right...
I've created an interactive Excel worksheet to make it easier (and funner) to calculate the price of a Rubicon or Rubicon Unlimited.
Just check the boxes for the options you want. No rules are enforced, use the order guide to determine legal combinations.
CARSALESBASE.com has monthly sales numbers. They determine sales through registrations. They are typically a couple of months behind. June 2019 Wrangler sales were 20,055, almost exactly the 2016 number. Since August isn't over, you will need to go to Car Sales Psychics .com for August sales...
After you configure a model, the website directs you toward existing inventory. Nowhere is ordering from the factory mentioned. They are more of a sales tool that lets customers know what's available.
