Just got my 2024 with alpine and it’s not a bad system but definitely notice some distortion. I know the lower dash speakers are a pain to get to so considering some upper dash replacements and maybe the roll bar since both are easy to get to. My only concern is finding some replacements that will play nice with impedance of current alpine stuff. I know some stereo stuff but no expert by any means. Looking to pick up some stuff from crutchfield maybe and not looking for a huge total replacement or adding extra amps. I like having the built in sub in back without losing my cargo space and adding extra amps. Anybody go down this route with success? Open to suggestions.
Thanks

If you mix and match with the OEM speakers you might have some oddities in volume between the drivers. A wholesale replacement may help, but it really depends on what you feel you're lacking in the OEM drivers. The OEM processing may or may not help you with driver replacement since the crossovers will limit what you get out of a given speaker. The best sounding JL I've done an install on used four 6.5's (one set in the lower dash, one set in the soundbar) with a point source component in the dash, twin five channel amps with a Helix DSP.

It doesn't.

I second the Terra Acoustics upgrade. Well worth the cost, in my opinion.
I haven’t taken the cover off to inspect the dash speakers yet, but Terra acoustics does have a notice on their site that they’re refining or going to do some testing on the 2024, so I don’t know if it’s just some marketing B$ to release a different version and charge more or if they think that the uconnect 5 upgrade is enough of a difference that they need to re-engineer something

Other options are the Kicker Dart 77kick25ab that are built with the factory plug. Another option that I have done is the MB Quart JC-108 speakers. I did the full Stage 6 and ended up with an extra pair of them and swapped them into her otherwise stock 21 and it is a nice upgrade.

Are the above speakers better than the JBL Club 322F. For reference I have the Alpine factory system.

I really don't understand all the hype on the Terra Acoustics front speakers. $250 per pair. Had a pair a year ago and immediately sent them back. Maybe a slight difference with the treble but not at that price. Went with JL Audio c2s all around and JLA 500 watt to drive the 4 front and soundbar speakers. Using same head unit. Sound is awesome. Save up your money and try boosting your amp.

Hmmm interested in the mb quarts. Any idea what ohm they are? I couldn’t find that listed on the site.

Not sure but they do not cause the amp to shut down due to resistance being too low. Had that happen with a set of 3 ohm Infinity’s in the sound bar.

That’s what I was wondering. Considering replacing speakers in upper dash and the 3.5” in sound bar but I also don’t know if the 2024 soundbar speaker layout changed as they added a LED light to the speaker grill. Not sure if it causes any interference space wise. I have yet to take the grill off and check it out. Do you run bass blockers with the mb quart?

Just got my 2024 with alpine and it’s not a bad system but definitely notice some distortion.
That's odd. I've had several aftermarket stereos that I could easily drive into clipping, but it's been a long while since I've found a factory stereo that distorts very much at all until you're at or nearly at max volume.

My '23 Alpine premium stereo can regularly go to 35 (or whatever the max volume is) on a lot of songs and doesn't distort much at all above 30 unless it's a really hot track (already normalized/limited into or near clipping when mastered).

Anyway, the TerraAcoustic fronts will actually drop your volume in that spot just slightly, which will likely cause you to crank the volume even more, but the increase in upper clarity by adding tweeters is definitely an improvement if you're only cranking the volume to better hear the highs. If you're already hearing distortion, that particular set might actually cause you to hear it more. To me, the stockers sounded dull and muddy without discreet highs and this set fixed that particular problem.

What's your EQ and Speed Adjusted Volume settings? Anything over 1 (or off) for Speed Volume is probably too much (audibly it sounds like a "loudness boost") and anything far beyond -3 to +3 or far jumps between the closest EQ bands sounds pretty bad to my ears (think mine's bass 1, mid 2, treble 3 or something similar).

Eq is fla at default but treble up 1 dot. I have never had the radio above 21 and usually have it around 19 or maybe 20 at loudest. I haven’t been brave enough to go higher because I feel like I’m gonna blow the speakers. With tops on and windows up it sounds decent but definitely can notice distortion on some music at 21. Maybe my expectations are too high but for a 12 or 1300 dollar upgrade it is pathetic. I tried to set speed adjusted volume at lowest setting bs having it off but I thought it sounded worse so I have it off. I have tried both with wireless and wired CarPlay and I only use Apple Music which is high quality/lossless supposedly

I've been considering these. They look pretty good and are designed to work with the factory equipment. Not sure if '24 changes anything. Jeep Front SoundStage Speaker Upgrade - Wrangler JL/ Gladiator JT – Terra Acoustics
If you're not adding amps skip these and get a set of 3.5" Infinity, Kicker or some other 3-4ohm speaker pair for $80 or so. I had the Terras and they are a neat speaker, packaging and all, but really not much different from stock at 2-3x more expensive from the other available options.
