Thanks everyone! Okay next question: does anyone have a link to an instructional write up or video of changing them out? I found one on the jk which is a little different but pretty similar.

Pretty much the same, pull the upper plenum off the intake, change them out. Takes a few hours.

Plugs are pregapped, do not attempt to gap.
If the dealer does not faq you over, it is the neighbor who will make sure you get properly rearended...

Forgive the revival, just want to make sure this stupidity from the past does not bite someone in the future: ALL PLUGS NEED TO BE PROPERLY GAPPED, ALL!
It don't matter if they where pregapped or not, you have no guarantee that the plug was never dropped or roughly handled while being delivered before it got to you. I have never purchased a set of plugs with at least one not being completely out of whack.

When checking and setting the gap, make sure to use a proper tool and exercise care. DO NOT USE the cheap old school coin type from the auto store!

He probably changed them already, since it's been 2 years. But maybe not. Looks like he hasn't been on the forum in a year.

Since this is opened up again, someone may want the same information as the OP.

So....Champion is the OEM of the factory plugs. They are what was in my 3.6 from the factory. Information here. It's Champion catalog # 9417. The spark plug data is: Gap 0.043 (in); Actual OE Part; Plug Type Number RER8ZWYPB4 (marked on the plug itself)
Car Part Results for Champion Auto Parts

NAPA has them about the cheapest I found. CHAMPION IRIDIUM CHA 9417 | Buy Online - NAPA Auto Parts (napaonline.com) $7.86

Mopar MSRP for the very same make and model of plug is $31.95 each and my dealer marks up parts about 10-20% depending how they feel. But, online Mopar dealers are selling them at the basement bargain price of around $22 each. So, if you go to your dealer, expect to pay almost $200 for a set of plugs. But they do come boxed in a Mopar printed box, if that is worth another $150 to you over getting them in a Champion box from NAPA Auto Parts.

More like he listened to the above advice and replaced the plugs without checking the gaps. As a result ended up with engine running worse than before he touched it. In a desperate attempt to figure out what was wrong, he read a bunch of horror stories on this forum and tore entire engine apart in search of the problem. After a month of throwing parts at it, he went broke, lost his job, sold the Jeep for parts, his wife divorced him and took what ever he had left.

As he wonders from dumpster to dumpster in search of shelter and scraps of food, a thought of "what was wrong with the Jeep" haunts him to this day... All because some idiot told him not to gap the spark plugs.

Seconding this. Use the OEM Champion plugs, mopar or otherwise. If you put anything other than that in your Jeep and you come to me with a misfire my bill with be much higher than the price difference you saved by throwing autolites in there. It really pisses me off when chain shop throws them in there because they're the "cheapest" and just creates problems.

T.T.T. always check the gap and if you have to bend the Ground Electrode use this type of spark plug tool so you won't damage the Central Electrode.

I like a screw type adjuster. Gives more control so you don't overshoot the gap you wanted.

This one is a Amazon cheapo. But there are as many types of these as there are spark plugs
