I’ll look it up. It’s just hard to think that simply by how predictable it was, but If that’s what it was the whole time that’d be crazy. It’s one of the reasons among a few others why I sold it back to the dealership and just went to find my second TJ. I’m hoping your right for everyone else’s...
I can promise mine was not clutch slipping as I could feather the throttle slowly raising the rpm to 2700 rpm when it would hiccup. Every time. Lower Rpms as well but the one at 2700 rpm was the worst one. Only in third gear as well.
Ya for me I can repeat as many times as often as I would want to. I drove around it for my sanity. Ended up selling it to the dealership just because I couldn’t take it anymore.
My guy I had a 2018 JL sport and traded it in with 37000 miles on it and got right at $2000 less than what I originally paid for it 4 years ago. Took that money and went and bought a 1999 tj wrangler Sahara for $12,500. Don’t regret it for a second. It’s a real Jeep and it’s those that made me...
From my experience with the hiccup it wasn’t a metal clunk but an actual hiccup that you could hear in the rpm and feel a slight jolt. I knew exactly what speeds and rpm it would do. Having an exhaust really exacerbated it. I wondered if it had something to do with the the throttle tuning being...
I appreciate the response. Given that i put an exhaust on it, it’s very noticeable. On top of using the flashpaq tune from superchips, and a pedal commander it did make it a lot more fun to drive, but i just traded my Jeep in to the dealership after four years. So I have an unlocked flashpaq and...
Thanks everyone! Okay next question: does anyone have a link to an instructional write up or video of changing them out? I found one on the jk which is a little different but pretty similar.
I had the smell!!! It was bad and anytime I got on it or went up hill I’m just thinking “WTF”. Luckily whatever it was it finally burned off after 20 to 25000 miles later. I have superchips tune and hiccup is still there 3rd gear 2500 rpm
Nice ya I have soft top two door plastic bumpers as well. Just mounted 265/70/17 mud tires so only one inch tall and wide above stock. I’m really only looking for an an inch/ inch and a half
