Just put 35’s (285/75r18) on my 2021 Sahara and used the Rough Country relocation bracket. It raised the tire almost 4 inches blocking the back window. I could actually get the tail gate to close with the stock set up if I aired down the spare completely but it would scrape the bumper pretty hard. Does any know of a bracket that gives maybe an inch or maybe an inch and half more clearance? That way I keep as much of the rear window as possible? Thank you to all who respond.

Would you say the terraflex relocation bracket or the quadratec raises the tire less. I literally need 1 inch max of lift of the spare. Anything more just takes away from visibility. I just don’t see how these say they can clear 37s and not be a huge amount of lift like the rough country.

Yes- Teraflex relocation brackets, up 2”, out 1 3/8”. Featherweight aluminum and a spacer kit for the bumpers supplied. The RC one I bought is in the garage, unused after it occurred to me the ~15 lbs would put me at reinforcement required weight.
That said, if you plan on wider wheels with less offset that could cause camera/sensor issues, spring for the Alpha once, not the RC, then the TF brackets, then the Alpha as I did.. my wheels are 8.5” -1mm, don’t know where the issue cut off is.

I’m using the stock wheels with 285/75r18 no plans to change. I can almost use the stock carrier. It just snags when I open and close the tailgate

Looks like the Quadratec one raises the tire by 1.75" while they quote 2.0" for the Teraflex: https://www.quadratec.com/p/teraflex/spare-tire-relocation-bracket-wrangler-jl-1909200

I’m using EVO mfg tire carrier, it’s been great five years now, still looks new… It adjust up and down, for visibility or departure angle..in and out for different widths….scroll down in the description in the link, there’s an animation of how it works….

Some in the snow belt complain about rust, but I haven’t had any issues with it….I see they’ve gone up in price a bit, might be more than you want to spend…

Found it, yes, 1909200 , I didn’t even bother to unplug the carrier upon removal, just set it on a trash can. Simple install. Yes, correction, up 2” out by 1.35”

I understand. Factory 35s on my XR pretty much block the back window. You might like the XR bracket. I relocated my spare to the garage, and used an Arctec delete. Now I can see everything.

do you know how far it moved your tire up from the bumper ? Also what tire size are you running ?

If you aren’t strapped for price just spend the extra ~$200 for the adjustable Alpha.. The tires are now just above the bumper and back to the stock spare bumpers, some go back to the gate. The above the spare 3’rd brake light is eliminated. You are set forever as TF reinforcement can be added if required. Mine cost almost $600 including the $75 RC and $150 brackets added to the ~$365 Alpha  The third time is not the cheap charm

For a bit more clearance with your 35” tires, you might want to consider a few options:

1. **Teraflex HD Tire Carrier**: This one is known for offering additional clearance and strength. It should provide more than the Rough Country bracket and help with that back window visibility.

2. **MOPAR Heavy-Duty Tire Carrier**: This OEM solution is designed to handle larger tires and might provide the extra inch you need. It’s worth checking if it gives you that extra clearance without losing the rear window view.

3. **Smittybilt XRC Tire Carrier**: This is another aftermarket option that offers adjustable settings, which could give you the extra clearance you’re looking for.

All of these should help you keep more of your rear window visible and improve your tailgate fitment. Be sure to check compatibility with your setup and the specific lift you have.
