If you have a collision, the tire will try to continue through the interior of the jeep. That needs to be addressed.

True story, my old 2001 Toyota Camry had an aftermarket subwoofer the previous owner installed, sounded really good, but it made the plastic trim cover rattle, so after a couple years of trying to fix it, including buying a whole new speaker cover for the back deck area behind the back seat, I need up just putting a brick up there. The weight from the brick stopped the rattling, so I could drive around and enjoy the BASS!!!

I met my wife 2 years later, and she brought up the point, what happens if you get in a front end collision and that brick comes flying forward?

She's always been the voice of reason for me, to quell my stupid ideas!! I fixed it that day, I duct taped that brick down, problem solved!!

Well, I recently read if getting rear ended the rear tire takes on the brunt of the impact, creating significant damage the tailgate etc. The rear bumper doesn't really get to do its job protecting the vehicle. The way people text and drive this has me somewhat concerned.
