) Two top rails for the side windows, two bottom rails for the back window, and a back screen window. This is still a work in progress. I still have to cut the top and bottom frame pieces, and two more thinner vertical pieces to put behind the metal rails to help support the windows' "tabs". Eventually, the wood will be painted to match the door, and I'll do a Rustoleum hammered finish on the metal.
I don't have a 2 door so I don't know, but on the 4 door the top sits behind the wheel wells. This spot is in FRONT of the wheel wells.I’ve seen that spot on the 2 door. Haven’t tried to set it in there cause the retracted top sits there. Last week I was by myself and leaving an appointment when I decided to remove the tops and sides and put them between the front seats and rear seats and folded the rear seat up to make sure they stayed in place while driving home the 56 miles from the VA.
It does look identical! I guess I should have done a bit more recent research than impulse buyingHa, that Amazon one looks exactly like the one factory one that came with my 2024 Willys and cost me $75! The rear windows fit in this bag really well and with a little patience, the bag fits behind the rear seat of a 2 door. I even have room left over for a pair of Bestop fabric half doors. The bag also works well to hang/store the windows in my garage when I do not need to take them with me. As far as scratches go, there is a big difference between scratches from branches and the blurry haze you get from dirty windows rubbing together when stashed loose behind the rear seat. Whatever way you go, having the windows out and the top down on a nice day is the best.
I put them on a blanket on a shelf in the garage. I place inside to inside for the side windows, then outside to outside for the rear window. Worked pretty good for me. I just recently screwed in a couple hooks to hang the rear window with the bar.Where are you storing your windows when you don’t have them on? I have taken my top down a few times in the wild after some rain when the sun was shining and kept them in my rear seat and they got scratched up. If i take them off at home I just set them on the work bench cause I don’t have a storage for them yet so what are you guys using!? And how do you keep them if you sporadically take them off not at the house?
