Gordon, what is best for you only comes through self understanding of your priorities.

For example, fastback soft tops look cool, but if you need that cargo space height in the back, maybe they aren't for you.

And maybe you really want other things for your JL just as much as a soft top, and only have so much $, in which case a good compromise is the get Bestop Sunrider product to replace your Freedom Panels (in any season, but best in the warm ones.)

Is the fabric OEM top nicer than the cheaper one? I think so, but only you can justify the price difference.

I think Bestop's Trex NX is easier to open than either of the OEM tops.

Then there are other's in the product space as well.

Finally, easiest, but most expensive, and not yet released for the JL ....the Mytop. https://mytop.us/

Be aware that the Bestop NX doesn't fold all the way back like the OEM options.
