We were on the highway and our driver's soft window blew off and got ran over. The plastic piece is broken. I looked through the mopar website, but I didn't see where we can purchase it without the window. It seems like we have to purchase the whole window. Anybody have an insights or a possible part number.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure you have to buy the entire window

From memory, every forum thread with the same subject has the same conclusion: the owner has to purchase the entire vinyl window assembly, if he's unable to remove & reuse the hard plastic stiffener on his original window.

That sux. It seems strange that I can purchase the just the vinyl, but not the part that it connects to, but that's what we were seeing as well. I tried calling several salvage yards, but none of them had Wranglers.

Reach out to Bestop. They manufacture the factory tops that are installed at Toledo. Perhaps there's a way for them to sell you the individual part that you require.

Perhaps send the entire thing to the Bestop factory and ask if they can repair and mail it back.
Reading that reminded me that plastic welding kits are available for the DIYer.

@maseline
Is the plastic upright piece such that you can attempt this sort of repair yourself, at least as a temporary patch?

I'm not sure if those that have reached out to Customer Service has received responses yet but figured I'd chime in since a few of you tagged Bestop!
Apologies for my delay on commenting back.

The window has to be replaced, the plastic molding isn't available separately unfortunately, I'm sorry. Customer Service can sell you the window, 800.845.3567, option 1, they're available Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm, MST.
