I wish they would just offer the Mopar Beadlocks with 35's as an option. No need for the gear or the lift with the 392.

This is my current thinking. Do you own a 392 or have you driven one? I drove one for the first time the other night and at no point did I think that it needed more revs (it even had OEM M/T tires which are heavier than the KOs).I wish they would just offer the Mopar Beadlocks with 35's as an option. Agreed, I just ordered with the ER package. Really wanted the 2.0 but..... I would have waited if I knew that it would be available on 2.0 in model 2022 but no telling. My first JL is a V6. I like it but wanted to try the 2.0 on this one. But I'm with you. I wish it was available on 2.0. Oh well.Considering the modifications I see no reason why they couldn't have added it. None of it is four door specific. It's too bad.
I do love the 2.0 engine. I know folks like the 3.6 and it's tried and true, but the 2.0 is awesome.
I have not driven one as of yet. Not a fan of gold so stock rims are not going to work. Just talked to my Salesman and it's essentially and all or nothing package but he isn't sure what it has for the 392. Probably get aftermarket wheels with 37's and save the stocker wheels I guess. He also said if I added it would have to delete my current build for a new one and don't want to go back to the end of the line lol. If that even matters. This is my current thinking. We should learn in a few days exactly what this package gets you on the 392. I got one that is supposed to ship at the end of the month and I'm probably just gonna throw some 315/70/17s on the stock wheels and be done with it. Mostly for aesthetics anyway since I do not offorad anything that the stock 33s couldn't easily handle.
I would probably have opted for the Recon edition had I had the option. Didn’t though. If one isn’t going to do a lot of crawling don’t really know if the deep gears are needed. Especially with 35” tires. I am experimenting with 40” now. Amazing how easy the 392 turns them. Mine is not for crazy crawling. Just moderate trails ie. Golden Spike etc. Mostly for exploring actually. Lots of backroads in CO and UT.I wish they would just offer the Mopar Beadlocks with 35's as an option. No need for the gear or the lift with the 392.
First thing tweeted about that I could find is the Jeep Compass. Blah blah blah.Today at 9:30am central is the Jeep press conference. Hopefully, they give us more details about the XR package for the 392 (wheels bronze or black & actual ground clearance with lift, etc.)
There are some pics on Twitter of the 392 with the package and regular Rubi with the package. I personally cannot tell whether the wheels are any different.Stellantis just posted updated PR on the XR (& flip top), but really no new information in it: https://media.stellantisnorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=22839&mid=1
