I am ordering a 2027 Wrangler Sahara, and I am debating whether to order the slider option with a three-piece hardtop. Astatically, I think the slider looks tacky when open and I am concerned about how it will wear over time. Any opinions are welcome.
why would you buy the "slider" thingy if you think it looks tacky.
a couple of days ago it was sorta spitting rain drops here and there, some dude is an Audi pulled up next to me, looked over, I guess he saw the top open, while looking over, he pushed a button and opened his moonroof, not sure why.
I pushed the button and closed the slider thingy, I'm guessing he thought it was 1980, and I was stuck driving with the roof open, and no easy way to close it.
why all the whining of SOT aesthetics, considering the alternative, I had all the tops, I never really factored in "looks"
I don't like the soft top, because folded down, it sticks high out of the tub, vs the TJ/JK 2dr where the soft top sat inside the tub, and we can easily jump into the backseat off the rear bumper.
If you like to run your Jeep with the full hardtop and doors off, don't get it. If you never plan on taking the entire hardtop off, it is a convenient feature. If you want to know how it looks, just use the Jeep website.
