What did you get your dog to help with the install? Looks pooped - time for a beer! Looks great, I agree on Mopar pricing - plus their springs are bowing on install... sheesh!

I was considering the mopar left but didn’t want to deal with the spring issues. I’m happy with the skyjacker. The ride feels about the same as stock.

You should take a look at the Rough Country trackbar. It's adjustable on the jeep and very beefy. Also the price is cheaper then a nice dinner at $140.00. You probably really don't need an adjustable trackbar but I totally get wanting everything perfect even if it is a 1/4 inch.

I’m not sure about this type of bar it would only be as strong as the weakest part and that would appear to be the adjustable sleeve part. How strong is the sleeve?

Hi @Craigb , a couple of questions...

From your photos, it looks like you got 2.25" of lift in the front and 2.75" of lift in the rear. Are my numbers off? Those numbers are surprising to me for a couple of reasons:
  1. I was expecting less lift, given that this is marketed as a 1.5" lift (you did install the 1.5" lift, and not the 2.5" lift, right? Post #8 indicates 1.5", so just double checking...).
  2. We'd typically want a slightly more aggressive lift in the front compared to the rear, to help with leveling - this appears to be the reverse.
Here's how I got the numbers - hopefully I'm off somewhere:
  • FRONT: Started just shy of 26" and ended at ~28.25" = 2.25" (based on the license plate picture in post #23)
  • REAR: Started at ~35.5" and ended at ~38.25" = 2.75" (based on right rear fender picture in post #26)
Lastly, how is the ride quality compared to stock? I know it's early, so please keep us updated.

Thanks!

I’m took the pictures just as I set it down I’m sure it has settled down a bit over night. I will retake the measurements tonight when I do the alignment. It looks more level to me now but I would like the back slightly higher for towing. The ride is nice! Feels stock

Awesome, thanks man! How much do these normally settle?

Honestly, my ideal lift would be something like 1" in the rear and 1.5-2" in the front. Hoping this settles somewhere in that range (though the initial numbers make me think it will be much more than that).

The ride close to stock is also good to hear. I (read:wife, kids) prefer the cushy ride :)

I will let you know how much it settles. This is the first lift kit I have installed on this type of suspension.
The ride is impressive I did not expect it to be.

Here is a thread about it. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...ront-jl-forged-adj-trackbar.6986/#post-161439

Also here is a pretty creditable forum members @TTEChris post. He's had both the skyjacker and the RC trackbar. He sold the skyjacker. The RC trackbar is very similar to the Teraflex.

Well looks like it ended up 2.0 in the front and 2.25 in the back. It is level side to side

No spring bow

I Also performed a Wheel alignment. As I suspected the caster was off on the front. I could feel less directional stability. I need to increase it by a couple degrees on both sides. Who makes some really beefy adjustable control arms that are reasonably priced. I don’t think the skyjacker ones are available yet.
