A standard relay will chatter when the voltage drops enough, I used a solid state relay and while it doesn’t dim out it does turn off without any chatter.

I’ve been trying to find something like that, do you have a link?

Apparently my skill set isn’t up to the challenge. I can’t seem to figure It out, so any help is much appreciated

Short version of the solid state relay wiring is summarized here.

If you could take a look at the Bluetooth device provided (picture attached) I think in my case
#1 wire to lights is actually going to be the white wire in the iPhoto, (it’s a 20awg) which lets the Bluetooth module know there is power from the footwell light. If no fade, that would be directly connected to the footwell power.
#2 wire will be the red wire going to the battery.
#3 will be the power yellow wire in the footwell
#4 will be the ground to the battery, as there are no Other grounds in this scenario?

am I close. I did look at the write up, but it seems like my connections are slightly different.

looking at the diagram above, red is battery power, black is ground and if you want the lights to come on with the courtesy lights connect the white wire to the interior lights. If you hook it up like this and get flashing as the lights dim then you need the solid state relay to fix this, I don’t think that will be the case as the module is designed to hook up to interior lights.

Thanks. I’m going to try that first. The guys at Infinite, suggested I use a relay, but I don’t really care if the leds flicker for 3 seconds as the dome light powers down. Did my take on the relay wiring look correct, should I need to go that route.?

Got a night shot of those?
Here you go. One picture is with it off so you can see how dark it is, without. The first picture is from setting in the drivers seat looking down at the ground. The white lights come on as soon as you open the door.
