Side Cameras

Hi, I'm wanting to add side cameras to my '20 with the 8.4 Uconnect. I drive with the doors off a lot in the summer and hate the add-on mirrors. How many aux video inputs does this radio have? My original plan is to get a 12 volt powered switcher and have it trigger off the turn signals or if the radio has 2 inputs just use them. I have the factory backup camera, but I am unsure if you can have the backup, cargo and front cam in stock configuration.

How many aux video inputs does this radio have?

There are no standard aux video inputs on the 8.4" radio. The OEM cameras do not use standard connectors/inputs. The stock cameras are pinned to the large connector that connects to the back of the radio. You can add a front camera such as the one offered here.

It's capable of at least one, hardwired, but at less resolution then OEM rear. Tazer can trigger turn signal cam, but I believe it can just do the OEM rear cam.

Correct. There is no way to add an additional high-definition cargo camera input to the JL radio.

I just used my Tazer on Saturday to turn on this turn signal cam feature. It is handy and helps with the blindspot view.

If you hate the mirrors sticking out. Some have put a small mirror on the flat surface of their outer air vents..

You will need an aftermarket headunit for this ability. My android headunit offers multiple video inputs for 360 view, but it's too daunting of a task for me.
