I installed new shocks today and when I was done I noticed this fairly sizeable glob of green grease on the floor. It is directly below the front drive shaft U joint. Judging by where it was it looked like it came out of the CV joint in the drive shaft. The drive shaft came with my MC GC lift. when putting the front passenger shock on I had to articulate the suspension quite a bit to get the passenger side to droop low enough to connect the lower end of the shock. I wonder if it came out when I was doing that? But if so I don't know why. It wasn't anywhere near max articulation.

Not sure why it would just spit out a bunch of grease. Do I need to be concerned? Anyone have any ideas on what I should do about it?

I would get ahold of MC and see what their opinion is first and go from there. I did not do a driveshaft nor did I remove mine when installing my 4.5” lift. I did however remove that crossmember and reinstall it when I was done with the lift. Seemed easier than unbolting the driveshaft. Start with the manufacturer first though.

It's almost certainly just grease that came out of the overflow hole when you collapsed the driveshaft. Just top off the driveshaft with some more grease.

Likely was too much in there from the factory, and it came out of the weep hole…. It will probably do some more when wheeling , but it will eventually find its own level and that will be it..( until you overdo it when comes time to grease it..?)
…..you can call MC if you want, but I wouldn’t be worried about it….I sometimes over do it, and when I get home from wheelin , I have to clean grease off of everything,

Thanks for the responses and putting my mind at ease. I didn't think anything I did could have caused any damage, but I didn't realize excess grease could be ejected like that.

Thanks again!!
