I hadn’t thought about the tabs for shackles. That’s a huge one for me….good call.
Like I said, lots of aftermarket support. Maximus 3 makes tow loops that both allow the mounting of shackles and for rigging your RV for flat towing behind an RV. I have them on my Rubicon and have used them for both purposes. The red (also available in black) loops below the bumper in my pic here.

I went with an aluminum version for my Willys. It's light and I like it, but the install is not as straightforward as the Mopar steel.

I like my factory steel bumpers. I had a winch on my last jeep, but hardly used it, so I'm not going that route with this one. I did get the bull bar, and will be adding lights soon. As other people have stated, and from what I've actually see, if the rear steel bumper is hit from the bottom, it will go up into your jeep on the departure angle. If you don't off-road much, or just travel across pastures (like me) then you'll be ok.

If I had had the factory steel front bumper, I almost certainly would have kept it. It has a lot going for it compared to the plastic front. The rear seems not so good. Lots of videos on Youtube of people smashing their license plate mount and so forth. Still better than the plastic though. That plastic rear bumper had something like 284 separate fasteners, and it was this crazy elaborate system of braces and anchors, all to support what my son dubbed "the black pudding." The factory steel bumper is a lot better than that at least.
