Hope you're having a good time.

I am going to Sedona next week for 4 days of CME (continuing medical education). I'm taking my wife with me, and instead of renting an economy car or flying like the company suggested, we are driving my wife's Gladiator Mojave so we can do some offroad exploring after the conferences each day. Staying at the Sedona Hilton on the company's tab, and they will also pay for our gas and my meals.

I've done this before on other years, and always enjoyed the trip. It makes for a good excuse to go four wheeling.

Go to Sedona for the views. The Jeeping is just okay. The hiking is better than the Jeeping. We camped in the Sedona/Cottonwood.Jerome area for about two and half weeks last year. For Jeeping, Cottonwood and Jerome is better, but not a pretty.

I like Soldiers Pass the most for the Jeep trails in Sedona. There is a cool cave at the end of the trail.

I was just there on Saturday and did broken arrow. I need to find some more trails around there! Lucky for me, I only live an hour away.

Smiley Rock is my favorite trail. You can check out the Gold King Mine on the way.

Smiley Rock gets a lot of reviews saying it is difficult but my recollection is that is was not too bad on 35s. The hard part is in a stream bed so that might have changed with water flow.

Lots of good information here so I'll stick to a food recommendation.

Best burger I've found in town is at the Open Range Grill and Tavern. I also remember them having good iced tea too. Easy parking in the back and good views from the second story of the restaurant.
