@Tredsdert would just tell you to paint the dash black, gages and all, and be done with it 🤣
Hey that would solve my red security light issue too!! I thought a couple times about yanking off the dash painting the main panels army green like the jeep, and then finding if I can find a way to hack into the 5" screen force it to mirror my phone.

Why did you have to make it where the dash needs torn apart to get the chrome bezels out. I hate them and want them black but they've made it such a pain. I think they did it on purpose to taunt us with cheap "chrome".
Honestly it's not a big deal yanking off the dash. I've done it a few times for various things. Not completely, but I do understand how it's done. It's pretty easy honestly.

Yeah it doesn't seem too terrible really. I'll probably attempt with paint pens and if it doesn't look great or hold up well I'll look to tear down maybe next year and redo the knee speakers and such while it's apart.

I've been playing with the idea of hydrodipping my dash panels diamond plate.

Well color me intrigued. You talking about just the "chrome" stuff or like...the actual panels?

Oh no! They'll still have fake chrome. Bet on it.
Probably so. I think the real chrome going away is due to the process to make it being very toxic. The fake stuff I'm sure isn't toxic at all lol.

A thread on this? Geez. You know your life must be great when removing the dull chrome off the dash on an owner’s overpriced Jeep is something that receives serious consideration. To each their own….

I mean...sure but I've gotten some great suggestions from people here on how I might be able to further mod my jeep to my liking and shared a few laughs along the way. The hatred was a bit exaggerated and sarcastic. I actually friggin love my jeep.
