I take my new vehicles to lineX and get the rust proofing and undercoating along with the paint sealer and fabric protectors. In the rust/salt belt, so we try to keep that crap at Bay.
I've lived in the rust belt all my life and never had any vehicle have anything but surface rust. In the old days there would be internal rust inside doors, rockets, coals. That was before they had better steel in those areas (and now aluminum). IMO that's spending a lot of money on low likelihood of a problem but if it gives you comfort go for it. My 7 year old JK has so many scratches in the paint from going thru tight wooded areas it is a mecca for rust but none. I rinse the entire Jeep every week or two in winter and once a year have a detailer paint the scratches.

It's about $250 for the rust proofing; it's worth it imo. I owned a TJ and that thing was a Haven for rust, but it was also a design flaw of the frame. But you are right. Spraying of all the road crap goes without saying. That will definitely keep your vehicle up to fighting the rust.

Hey I've seen a few Jeeps like that and they really looked pretty neat! No worry of trail rash or shopping carts lol
Me too haha if I didn’t like my Jeeps color so much I’d do it for sure but I love this Granite Crystal Metallic though!

GreyFox, Where do you get this Done? I'm fron Ohio too and I've had to repair my Dodge due to rust and would like to do whatever I can to protect the Jeep

I’d worry only if the tin body of the vehicle were rusting. I can’t see the frame or chassis ever rusting to the point of breaking before the lifetime of the vehicle is over.
