Hi all, I've just installed a new rear bumper with rear tire carrier with license relocation bracket. I'm trying to run wires from the original bumper harness for those lights (driver side rear) into the wire harness that runs through the tailgate. I removed the passenger tail light hoping to be able to poke one through there, but I can't see the harness. Anyone else had luck doing this and have a suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Any idea how to get into the tailgate though? I don't care that it's packed all nicely in with the same bundle. Figured it can run beside it and I can electrical tape it together or something.

Mine actually doesn't have any black flex stuff going in. Seems to just be super tightly wrapped tape with a grommet or something going into the jeep just below the hinge. I took that taillight out hoping to access where that grommet is but can't see anything. Maybe need to figure out how to remove that giant piece of plastic trim on the side. A quick glance looks like I'll need to remove the top to get it off.

For some reason couldn't add text to that pic. Thanks for the reply blnewt. How hard was it to remove that plastic I took a screenshot of? If I can get access to that full wire area there I should be able to do what you did no problem.

You don't have that stuff?

I can barely see that part it's hidden behind the plastic. Maybe just a tiny bit of the cloth thing sticking out and everything else is wrapped tight tape.

I know it's been a while, but thought I'd pop in to thank you again. That worked perfectly and I was able to hide the wires completely by cutting a little slot on each side of the sleeve and running my wire through it.
Oh, good, glad it worked out well for you!
