Don’t sweat it, that first obstacle is optional, there are bypasses for a lot of stuff. Also, the outflow from the dam this year is roaring, the Sierras got a lot of snow this year.
I hope to do as many of the more extreme obstacles as possible. You only live once!

We planned for mid June this year. Didn't happen because of the unusual amount of snow pack this year. Now we are targeting late August 2024. Ugh... the anticipation is killing me.
Same here. Scheduled for September of 2022. Cancelled on the morning we were leaving home due to forest fires. Rescheduled for June. Cancelled due to snow. Rescheduled for this September! ?

Hard to carve out the time... after missing June, we tentatively planned for this October and then that fell through due to work travel commitment that popped up... so now pushed all the way to Aug '24... more than a year away. Dang it!
