This may seem like a silly question but I don't have a ton of experience doing mods. I have a '22 Rubicon and am wanting to add side steps. Considering some of the Redrock models from Extreme Terrain.

I recently installed the Weathertech mud flaps and I had to make sure I bought the ones specific for the Rubicon. My question is, can I install the side steps and keep the flaps? Anyone have experience with a Rubicon and flaps installation?

Advice , Recommendations and even pics would be appreciated

TIA

Go with Weathertech, they look OEM and fit like a glove… makes my ugly rig looks presentable.

Depends on the pocket the mudflap has in it. There's a pretty extensive mudflap thread that might give you a better perspective how the flap and step would work together.

Don’t think that neither one of these options is compatible with the Weathertech Mud Flaps..

If you are going to go with the first in your list, why not find a take-off from a sport or Sahara?

Thanks for the tip/advice. Found a brand new unopened set of Quadratec Brute strength side-steps on FB marketplace yesterday for $250

So happy with the result and the much better look

You can install running steps, rock rails, with the weather tech flaps for the Rubicon. And they work out well, fit was good, quality good. Only addition I did was add a plastic rivet to the rear flap to wheel well,

Yup, when I installed the driver side steps - I just had to slightly move the existing mud-flap out of the way. Re-secured once steps were installed and am pretty happy with the end result
